Personal statement

Shan WANG is the expert member of the Architectural Experts Advisory Board of Chinese National Health Committee; Committee Member of the Medical Architecture Branch of the Architectural Society of China；Director of Member of China Hospital Architects Alliance and Member of the Standing Committee of the Medical Architecture Branch of Architecture and Culture Society of China.

In 2008, she founded the Institute of Medical Architecture and served as director since then. The Institute is committed to research of medical facilities design and has finished more than 30 research projects on related academic sectors.

In recent years, she has published more than 50 academic papers on medical architecture in Architectural Journals, Huazhong Architecture and other academic journals, including topics on medical architectural design methods, medical building public space research, large-scale modern general hospital design research and so on.
