Personal Statement

Currently, I am serving in a professor position at the Faculty of Architecture, Civil and Transportation Engineering, Beijing University of Technology in China. I received my Ph.D. degree from Central South University, China, and Michigan Technological University, the United States of America. My research interests include Construction Materials, Engineering Mechanics, Traffic Sensing and Perception, Recycling Materials, Smart Infrastructure Systems, Image Processing, Molecular Dynamics (MD), Discrete Element Method (DEM), and Transportation Data Science. I published and submitted more than 70 papers in the field of transportation engineering. Based on google scholar, the citation reaches more than 2000 times. Moreover, I am serving as an associate editor for Frontiers in Materials and Proceedings of the Institution of Civil Engineers-Engineering Sustainability and am also an editorial member for more than ten international journals.
