Personal Statement

Haijian Li received his doctor's degree in system engineering from Beijing Jiaotong University in July 2014. From September 2015 to July 2017, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the TOPS (Traffic Operations and Safety Laboratory) of the University of Wisconsin-Madison in the United States. He is currently an associate professor at the College of Metropolitan Transportation, Beijing University of Technology. He has published more than 50 SCI/EI papers in the fields of connected vehicles technology theory and method, traffic flow characteristic analysis, traffic sensor network, etc., and has been granted 12 invention patents. His research interests include intelligent transportation system, traffic information technology, traffic planning and management.
