Research Areas

Research interest includes pavement materials (cement concrete and asphalt concrete), pavement performance and maintenance management, road and traffic safety, road structure durability.

He has achieved several provincial or ministerial awards, including:

1992, "Study on Compaction Standard of Wet and Soft Road Subgrade", Science and Technology Progress Award of Beijing Government of China;

Personal statement

Zhang Jinxi, professor and doctoral supervisor, got his Ph.D. in Iwate University of Japan, and had research and work experiences in Japan and China. He published 4 academic books and about 220 papers. His research interest includes road materials, road engineering, recycling of waste materials, road maintenance and management.
