Personal statement

Li Liyun, Ph.D., associate professor and master's supervisor. He gained his Ph.D. in structural engineering from Beijing University of technology in 2007. In 2003, he obtained his master's degree in geotechnical engineering from the Institute of engineering mechanics, China Earthquake Administration. From September 2013 to September 2014, he went to the University of Pittsburgh as a visiting scholar to carry out research work. He has presided over two projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As the main researcher, he also participated in many national and provincial science and technology projects such as the National Natural Science Foundation project, the national science and technology support plan project, National Key R&D Program of China, and Beijing Science and technology plan project. Now, his research work being carried out include the construction mechanics of underground engineering, Geotechnical earthquake engineering, and the treatment of high slope. In terms of undergraduate teaching, he is undertaking the main lecture task of "Engineering Geology", "Subgrade Engineering", "Slope engineering", and "Geotechnical engineering testing technology".
