Personal statement

Cao Shenbin is a professor and doctoral supervisor in the Institute of Municipal Engineering, Faculty of Architecture, Civil And Transportation Engineering, Beijing University of Technology. He obtained his PhD degree from Harbin Institute of Technology with the major of municipal engineering in 2018, and then performed his postdoctoral research for around 3 years at Nanyang Environment and Water Research Institute (NEWRI), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. His research interests mainly focus on the cost-effective anammox process for wastewater nitrogen removal and anaerobic technology for resource/energy recovery. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed SCI papers on international major journals, including articles in Water Research, Environmental Science & Technology, and Chemical Engineering Journal. The citation times have exceeded 2500 times with the H-index of 24 as of March, 2022. He has received several prestigious awards as a recognition for his work, such as Alexander Humboldt Scholarship, Shanghai Tongji Gao Tingyao Young doctoral outstanding talent scholarship.
