Personal statement

Zhou Zhiwei, doctor, professor, and master supervisor. In 2009, he got his bachelor's degree in water supply and drainage from Shandong Jianzhu University, achieved a master's and doctoral degree in municipal engineering from BJUT in 2012 and 2016, respectively. In 2017, he was given an accelerated promotion to associate professor. In September 2018, he was introduced to teach in the College of Architecture and Civil Engineering, BJUT, engaged in researching and teaching in the field of water treatment. He mainly focuses on the coagulation theory and technology, key technologies for treatment of contaminated water (advanced oxidation, adsorption and membrane filtration), and development and application of high-efficiency environment function materials. At present, he is presiding over 5 national and provincial-level projects, and has participated in many applied basic research projects such as the National Major Water Project and the National Natural Science Foundation. He has presided over and participated in the ecological rehabilitation project, the upgrading and reconstruction project of sewage treatment plants and the engineering transformation work of related research and development achievements, and has certain experience in engineering. He is responsible for application and building of platforms such as the provincial research center and the academician expert workstation. He has published more than 70 peer-reviewed research papers, including more than 40 SCI papers as the first author or correspondent author, authorized 4 national invention patents, and has received many academic awards.
