Personal statement

Professor Li Junmei received her BSc from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Then she worked as an engineer in a State-run factory. She obtained her MSc degree from Xi’an Jiao Tong University in Refrigeration and Cryogenic in 1997, and received her PhD degree from Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2004. Her research interests include: Fire Safety and Engineering; Applications of Computational Fluid Dynamics; Building Energy Conservation, Intelligent Building technology and Building system dynamic simulation. She has published over 100 papers in international journals and conferences (more than 40 papers cited by SCI/ EI). Her recent research projects include: Smoke management in supertall buildings; Fire safety and smoke control in subway systems; Fire safety and smoke control in urban underground tunnel; Human walking behavior on stairs.
